A state of the art
The IRC2020 Conference will take place on 27-28 August 2020 at the Sala Cappella ofì the Ex-Ospedale Militare in Trieste.
The conference will be held in Trieste (NE Italy). Trieste is a town located some 30 minutes drive away from Ronchi dei Legionari Airport, which is connected to all main international airports of Italy.
The railway station of Trieste is connected to the main Italian cities by high-speed trains (Eurostar).
The conference activities will be held at about 10 min from the Railway Station.
The climatic setting of the city is humid subtropical climate with some Mediterranean influences.
On average, humidity levels are pleasantly low (~65%). Trieste along with the Istrian peninsula enjoys evenly distributed rainfall above 1,000 mm.
The maximum average temperature in August is 28°C while minimum average temperature is 21°C. The average water temperature at the end of August is 21°C.
The climate can be severely affected by the Bora, a very dry and usually cool northeast katabatic wind that can last for several days and reach speeds of up to 200 km/h.

How to get there: sail from Trieste. The journey takes about 10 minutes (bus less than 3 €) or 20 minutes walking.
